MOHAMED HASSAN  MD

Mohamed Hassan, MD, FAASLD, is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist who treats adult patients with liver failure, gastroesophageal reflux disease and appendix, liver and gastrointestinal cancers. He specializes in performing colonoscopies, endoscopies and intestine and liver transplant. Dr. Hassan has special interest in viral hepatitis and liver transplant medicine. He has established a viral hepatitis center at the University of Minnesota and hasfunded research projects on hepatitis B and C. Dr. Hassan sees patients at the University of Minnesota Medical Center East Bank Hospital, University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center and the Minnesota Endoscopy Center. Dr. Hassan is also a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
